Best known as The Pearl of Wales on the Shores of Snowdonia, Criccieth is Situated on the Llyn peninsula, with its two beaches divided by the headland, on which sits the 700 year old castle.
Well known for its beauty it has won the prestigious, floral "WALES IN BLOOM" Competition for the last six years.
Nearby is the village of Llanystumdwy, the boyhood village of David Lloyd George with a Museum and film on one of the greatest British statesmen of the twentieth century and the Victorian Cottage where he was raised.
Criccieth is ideal for all year round holidays. An unspoilt seaside town which enjoys a very mild climate, mild Winters, early Spring, and the Autumn is simply majestic.
When seaside holidays first became popular Criccieth did not immediatley benefit from this boom in tourism. This changed in 1867 when the Cambrian Coast Railway line first made stops at Criccieth. From that date Criccieth, with its stunning beaches and picturesque views, has become a favourite holiday resort for many thousands of travellers.
